The Schluter Systems DITRA-HEAT-E-R is a non-programmable digital thermostat engineered to control DITRA-HEAT-E-HK heating cables, accommodating both 120 V and 240 V systems. It features a built-in Class A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) with an indicator light, ensuring enhanced safety during operation. The thermostat operates via a straightforward on/off switch for ease of use and is designed to work seamlessly with the floor temperature sensor included with the DITRA-HEAT-E-HK cables, ensuring precise heat regulation. Designed to handle a total heating load of up to 15 amps, it allows for the connection of two heating cables, provided the combined current does not exceed this limit. For larger floor applications where the heating load surpasses 15 amps, the DITRA-HEAT-E-RR power module can be integrated with the thermostat to maintain centralized control. The device boasts a digital display with a backlit screen for clear visibility in various lighting conditions and is available in a bright white finish to complement diverse interior designs. The floor temperature sensor wires are non-polarized, permitting flexible installation between the C and D terminals. The thermostat is c-UL-us listed, adhering to UL 60730 and CSA E60730 standards, underscoring its compliance with stringent safety and performance criteria. Installation requires placement within an electrical box, with a recommendation for a single gang, deep electrical box or a double gang box with a single gang mud ring to accommodate wiring comfortably. All electrical connections should be executed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical and building codes. The Schluter DITRA-HEAT-E-R thermostat offers a reliable and user-friendly solution for managing electric radiant floor heating systems, ensuring consistent comfort and energy efficiency in residential and commercial settings.
The underfloor heating system is a highly efficient and eco-friendly way to warm your floors, serving as either a primary or secondary heat source. This system utilizes electric radiant floor heating cables/wires paired with uncoupling waterproofing tile underlayment membranes, sheets, or floor mats.
It is strongly recommended to overlap all heat membrane joint lines created during installation with the Kerdi Polyethylene waterproof band or waterproofing tape to ensure optimal performance. This method, ideal for both residential and commercial applications, enhances durability and water resistance. To effectively manage your in-floor heating system and regulate the temperature of your heated floors, a variety of thermostats are available in 120V and 240V options.
