Product Description:

The Schluter®-SHOWERPROFILE-S is a two-part shower profile with a tapered edge designed to cover adjoining tile edges that become exposed as the shower floor slopes toward a KERDI-LINE linear drain. The system provides an elegant finishing solution between the shower floor and the first course of wall tile, eliminating the need to cut narrow wedges of tile while helping maintain a consistent elevation for the first row of bathroom wall tile. Ideal for modern tile shower, walk-in shower, and bathroom renovation applications, SHOWERPROFILE-S can be used for lateral transitions to the wall or adjoining floor, creating a clean and professional finish around sloped shower floor tile installations.

The SHOWERPROFILE-S system consists of a trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg with a U-shaped groove that accepts the tapered brushed stainless steel profile. The profile is designed to match the slope of the KERDI-SHOWER-LT shower tray and can be adjusted to cover the exposed wall area while forming the finished visible surface. Its exposed surface is made from attractive brushed stainless steel, while fleece fabric on the reverse provides secure bonding with suitable tile adhesive or thin-set mortar. This two-part construction makes the profile an excellent finishing component for KERDI-LINE shower systems, linear shower drain installations, shower trays, bathroom tile, wall tile, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, stone tile, marble tile, and other coordinated home improvement projects.

For installation, first measure the height of the area to be covered at its lowest point, then measure the required length and mark the profile where it must be cut at both ends. Remove the protective foil and cut the tapered stainless steel profile and support section to the required length. Insert the tapered profile into the matching support section, then apply Schluter-SET, Schluter-ALL-SET, Schluter-FAST-SET, or unmodified thin-set mortar to the fleece on the back side of the profile. Press the profile firmly into place and align it flush with the adjoining wall tile, immediately removing excess setting material before installing adjacent tiles on the shower base.

When cutting the stainless steel profile, the Schluter®-PROCUT-TSM cutting wheel may be used with an angle grinder operating at low speed. The SHOWERPROFILE-S support section can be cut with snips for accurate fitting during shower installation. Always read and follow the grinder manufacturer's safety instructions when cutting stainless steel to help prevent injury. Proper measuring, cutting, bonding, and alignment allow SHOWERPROFILE-S to provide a precise transition along sloped shower floors while complementing KERDI-LINE linear drain, shower floor, shower tile, and tile-ready shower system installations.

The Schluter®-SHOWERPROFILE-S requires no special maintenance and is resistant to mold and fungi. Stainless steel exposed to the environment or aggressive substances should be cleaned periodically using a mild household cleaner. Regular cleaning maintains the neat appearance of stainless steel and reduces the risk of corrosion. All cleaning agents must be free of hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and chlorides. Stainless steel surfaces develop a sheen when treated with a chrome-polishing agent. Do not use abrasive or alkaline cleaning agents.
