Schluter Systems Kerdi Board Kit (KBKIT) is a complete system for creating a waterproof, insulated shower, bathtub, or acrylic shower base surrounds.
Features:
The kit includes Kerdi-Board panels (foam insulation boards), Kerdi waterproofing band, pipe seal, mixing valve seal, screws and washers, and Kerdi-Fix sealant.
The waterproofing Kerdi band (strip) provides an additional level of protection by creating a seamless seal between the boards and the underlying surface.
This kit consists of everything needed to create a waterproofing and vapor-tight enclosure that prevents water from entering the walls and floors in wet areas and eliminates the need for a cement board or gypsum wall backer.
The Schluter KBKIT is designed to provide a reliable, waterproof solution for tiled showers and bathtubs and can be applied directly to the stud framing.

The Schluter Kerdi XPS boards (building panels) are constructed from an extruded polystyrene foam panel (mat), with a special reinforcement material on both sides and fleece webbing for effective anchoring in thin-set mortar. KERDI-BOARD (foam sheet) can be used in a multitude of interior applications. This makes them lightweight yet strong and durable and provides excellent thermal insulation. The boards are also waterproof, making it a great solution for wet areas such as showers, steam rooms, and bathtubs, preventing moisture from entering the living space. They are easy to cut and shape, so they can be customized to fit any space.
