Introducing Schluter Systems JOLLY Tile Edge Protection Profile is the perfect solution for ensuring secure and professional-looking tile edges where edges are bordered by carpet or decorative edging for stairs. This easy-to-install tile liner trim provides a decorative and protective finish to the edges of any porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, or natural stone tile. The tile trim edging is available in various colors and sizes to suit any interior design, including black tile edge, white tile edge trim, and aluminum tile edge. Current Schluter JOLLY profiles feature a 90° angle that creates a clean, flush appearance on outside wall corners and exposed tile edges. Joint spacers positioned on both sides help provide symmetrical grout joints, while available matching corners use plug-in connections to create clean, visually appealing corner applications.

Features a trapezium-shaped perforated anchoring leg to be secured in the mortar bond coat (thinset mortar adhesive) beneath the tile, and an 87-degree sloped vertical wall section that provides a decorative finish and protects adjacent tiles. The trim liner (JOLLY Schluter Trim) is manufactured from premium aluminum for maximum durability. This ensures that the tile border (edge protection) provides lasting protection for your tiles to prevent cracks. Depending on the selected profile, JOLLY is also available in chrome-plated solid brass, color-coated aluminum, textured color-coated aluminum, anodized aluminum, and stainless steel. Select anchoring legs feature radius perforations that allow the tile edge profile to form curves, while select finishes are available in extended 10' (3.05 m) lengths for larger wall tile installations.

The floor tile edge trim also features an integrated joint spacer, ensuring a consistent joint size and a neat finish. The corner trim is available in a range of styles, including white tile trim edging, black tile edger, and metal tile edging trim. It provides a neat and secure finish allowing you to create accents in decorative designs. Schluter trim for ceramic edge is the ideal solution for a professional finish. With this easy-to-install corner trim, you can be sure of a secure and stylish tile border for your living area. During installation, the spacer helps establish a uniform grout joint measuring approximately 1/16" to 1/8" (1.5 to 3 mm). Matching outside corners and connector pins are available for joining abutting profiles, although stainless steel JOLLY profiles do not include an integrated spacer in the vertical wall direction.

For proper installation, select the profile according to the tile thickness and format, apply thin-set mortar with a notched trowel, and press the perforated anchoring leg firmly into the mortar. Apply additional mortar over the anchoring leg for full coverage, then embed the tile so its surface is flush with the profile or approximately 1/32" (1 mm) higher before completely filling the joint with grout or setting material.

The Schluter JOLLY tile finishing profile requires no special maintenance and is resistant to mold and fungi, making it a practical choice for long-lasting bathroom tile, kitchen backsplash, and wall corner applications. Clean the profile periodically with a pH-neutral cleaning agent and remove setting materials immediately, especially from aluminum surfaces. Avoid abrasive tools, strong acids, bleach, ammonia, chlorides, and alkaline cleaners that could damage sensitive finishes. Exposed stainless steel may be maintained with a neutral cleaner or chrome-polishing agent, while oxidation films on aluminum can be removed with a suitable polishing product, although they may naturally form again.
