Profilitec Fixxtec is a multi-purpose adhesive suitable for sealing and waterproofing the connections between different sheets of waterproofing membranes and waterproofing boards. It is also suitable for the bonding of a wide range of products, such as baseboards, expansion and connection joints, wedges, transition profiles, etc. Fixxtec sealant acts as a waterproofing adhesive and sealant. This sealant can be used both indoors and outdoors due to its high resistance to UV radiation and adverse weather conditions. This adhesive is odorless, elastic, solvent-free and provides excellent adhesion to a wide variety of materials, such as aluminium, steel, wood, stone, fibre cement, concrete, glass and plastic.

Fixxtec can be painted with most water- and solvent-based paints. It is a high-performance, versatile adhesive and sealant specially formulated for optimal waterproofing in various applications. Engineered for robust adhesion, Fixxtec is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, providing a durable seal on multiple surfaces including tile, ceramic, metal, wood, and concrete. Within Profilitec waterproofing systems, Fixxtec can seal junctions between Foiltec waterproofing membrane sheets and bond the membrane to STBO waterproof tile backer board. It can also support secondary waterproofing connections at thresholds, balcony and terrace doors, window frames, protective sheets, Bordertec perimeter profiles, and interior or exterior drainage systems. Suitable for operating temperatures from -30°C to +90°C, this single-component elastic sealing adhesive is based on MS polymer technology and is supplied in a 290 ml cartridge. It carries CE marking and meets EN 15651-1 requirements for facade elements, EN 15651-3 requirements for sanitary environments, and EN 15651-4 requirements for pedestrian walkways.

For dependable adhesion, the installation surface must be clean, solid, load-bearing, and free from dust, debris, oils, or other substances that could affect bonding. Apply Fixxtec directly to the prepared substrate, then spread it across the complete bonding area with a spatula or trowel before promptly positioning the material without gaps or unbonded spaces. When used as a shower sealant or joint sealant, smooth the bead immediately and remove excess material before it begins to harden. One cartridge provides approximately 10 metres of average coverage. Fresh adhesive can be removed with a suitable solvent, while fully hardened material must be removed mechanically. Where unusual chemical exposure, mechanical loading, or other demanding conditions are anticipated, confirm product suitability before completing the installation.
