The Laticrete Waterproofing/Anti-Fracture Fabric Membrane Roll (6 in. x 75 ft.) is a professional-grade reinforcement fabric designed to increase the strength, durability, and crack-isolation properties of liquid-applied waterproofing systems. Made from a high-quality non-woven material, this fabric improves membrane thickness control, enhances adhesion, and delivers long-lasting moisture protection for tile and stone installations. It is specifically engineered for use with latex-based membranes and, when combined with a self-curing liquid rubber polymer, creates a flexible, seamless, load-bearing waterproofing membrane that bonds to a wide range of properly prepared substrates. The 75 ft. (23 m) roll provides 37.5 sq. ft. of 6 in. (150 mm) wide reinforcing fabric for accurate detailing and coverage planning.

Engineered for both interior and exterior environments, this reinforcement fabric is ideal for waterproofing high-moisture and wet areas such as showers, tub surrounds, steam rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and commercial washrooms. It also provides excellent protection for outdoor applications including balconies, terraces, patios, facades, and other exposed surfaces. Its flexible construction supports vertical and horizontal installation, including ceilings, wall-to-floor transitions, door openings, seams, joints, and other locations requiring concentrated reinforcement. The membrane roll supports anti-fracture performance, effectively preventing substrate cracks up to 1/8" (3 mm) from telegraphing into the tile finish. When used with LATICRETE® HYDRO BAN or HYDRO BARRIER, the fabric strengthens the waterproofing layer, improves durability, and helps achieve uniform coverage over coves, corners, curbs, and transitions where additional reinforcement is required. It is required for 9235 Waterproofing Membrane full-fabric applications and Blue 92 Anti-Fracture Membrane, as well as with HYDRO BARRIER in coves, corners, and changes of plane. It may also be used with Air & Water Barrier, WATERTIGHT™ Floor N' Wall Waterproofing & Crack Isolation, or 9237 Waterproofing Membrane when additional strength is specified. For partial crack isolation, the treated area should extend at least three times the width of the tile or stone being installed.

Lightweight and easy to handle, the fabric embeds smoothly into liquid waterproofing products, making installation faster and more efficient for both DIY users and professional contractors. For efficient application, review the installation sequence, precut the fabric, allow approximately 2 in. (50 mm) overlaps at ends and sides, and extend it 6 in. (150 mm) through door openings. Embed the fabric into the wet first coat with a brush or roller until the liquid bleeds through, smooth out wrinkles, overlap adjoining sections, and saturate the fabric with the required additional coats. At 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity, allow the top coat to dry to the touch for approximately 1 to 3 hours before sealing and inspecting the surface for pinholes, voids, thin spots, or other defects.

For detailed waterproofing transitions, apply the reinforcing fabric over cracks, cold joints, control joints, coves, corners, backer board joints, drains, pipes, lights, and other penetrations according to the selected membrane system. Fold the 6 in. fabric at corners to create a 3 in. (75 mm) wall return, use compatible waterproof sealant and compressible backer rod around penetrations, and use clamping-ring drains with weepers where specified. Newly installed 9235 reinforced membrane should be protected from rain, standing water, and other moisture exposure for at least five days at 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity. Proper installation creates a continuous waterproofing membrane for shower walls, shower floors, bathrooms, ceramic tile, stone tile, and brick assemblies requiring durable moisture and crack protection.
