Schluter®-DITRA XL is a specially designed polyethylene membrane that boasts a unique grid structure made up of square cavities featuring a dovetail configuration. It comes with an anchoring fleece, which is laminated to the underside of the membrane. During installation, the anchoring fleece is placed in thin-set mortar, ensuring a strong mechanical bond to the substrate. This versatile product serves as an excellent uncoupling layer, waterproofing membrane, and vapor management layer. DITRA XL can accommodate moisture from beneath the tile without compromising its adhesive properties. It can support varied substrates, including plywood/OSB, concrete, gypsum, and even heated floors.

Specifications:

DITRA XL is only 5/16" thick, which makes it ideal for minimizing tile assembly thickness and reducing transitions to lower surface coverings like carpet, engineered wood, and vinyl. What's more, DITRA XL can support ceramic tile application over single-layer plywood or OSB subfloors on joists spaced up to 19.2" (488 mm) o.c.
