ARDEX X 7 R™ Rapid Set, Flexible Tile and Stone Mortar is a versatile, professional-grade, polymer-modified tile mortar developed for fast, dependable tile installations. Its advanced adhesion and flexibility make it an ideal everyday tile adhesive solution for setting porcelain tile, quarry tile, ceramic tile, mosaic tile, and most natural stone tile. Suitable for residential and commercial projects, it can be used for interior and exterior floor tile and wall tile applications, providing contractors and experienced DIY users with reliable performance across renovations, new construction, and fast-track installation work.

Engineered with a rapid-setting formula, ARDEX X 7 R™ allows installed tile to be walked on or grouted in approximately 3 hours, helping reduce downtime and keep demanding project schedules moving. The mortar provides up to 20 minutes of open time, approximately 20 minutes of tile adjustment time, and an approximate pot life of 30 to 40 minutes. Its creamy, easy-to-apply consistency spreads smoothly and supports efficient troweling, while very good sag resistance helps porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, natural stone, shower tile, and wall tile remain accurately positioned during installation.

For a full 40 lb. (18 kg) bag, mix ARDEX X 7 R™ with approximately 4.75 to 5 quarts of clean water to achieve its smooth, creamy working consistency. For smaller batches, use approximately 3 1/4 parts powder to 1 part water by volume. Approximate coverage per bag is 85 sq. ft. with a 1/4 in. x 1/4 in. square-notch trowel, 70 sq. ft. with a 1/4 in. x 3/8 in. x 1/4 in. square-notch trowel, or 55 sq. ft. with a 1/2 in. x 1/2 in. square-notch trowel. Actual coverage may vary depending on tile size, substrate condition, trowel angle, and installation technique.
