Product Features:
ARDEX V 1200™ is a high-performance self-leveling underlayment engineered for interior floor preparation where a smooth, flat, durable, and dependable surface is critical. Made from a professional blend of Portland cement, other hydraulic cements, and polymers, it is specifically formulated for use over interior concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tile, quarry tile, epoxy coating systems, and properly prepared non-water-soluble adhesive residue on concrete. Suitable for installations on, above, or below grade, ARDEX V 1200 is an ideal floor underlayment solution for renovation and new construction projects in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
Featuring excellent flow and healing properties, ARDEX V 1200 spreads easily and self-smooths during application, minimizing installation effort while producing a consistently level surface. Its advanced formulation flows smoothly across properly prepared substrates, fills low areas, and helps correct uneven flooring without requiring extensive manual surface correction. The material has an approximate flow time of 10 minutes, an initial set time of approximately 30 minutes, and a final set time of approximately 90 minutes, allowing professional flooring installers to complete time-sensitive floor preparation projects efficiently.
Once cured, ARDEX V 1200 creates a strong and stable flooring underlayment with a compressive strength of approximately 4,500 psi and a flexural strength of approximately 1,000 psi after 28 days. It can be installed up to 2 inches thick without aggregate and tapered as needed to meet existing elevations, making it suitable for resurfacing damaged concrete, correcting uneven subfloors, filling low areas, and preparing a flat base for finished flooring systems. The surface can be walked on after approximately 2 to 3 hours, helping reduce jobsite downtime and allowing other construction activities to continue sooner.
ARDEX V 1200 is compatible with a wide range of finished flooring materials, including vinyl plank flooring, luxury vinyl tile, laminate flooring, engineered wood, carpet, ceramic floor tile, porcelain tile, natural stone, and other approved floor coverings. Moisture-insensitive ceramic tile and stone can be installed after approximately 6 hours, while most other finished flooring can be installed after approximately 24 hours. This rapid installation schedule makes it an excellent choice for bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, foyers, hallways, offices, retail spaces, and other interior home improvement or commercial flooring projects requiring dependable performance.
