Ardex V1000 self-leveling underlayment is a premium solution designed for fast and efficient leveling of interior concrete subfloors and cementitious terrazzo surfaces prior to tile or stone installation. This advanced underlayment is a pourable blend of Portland cement and other hydraulic cements that creates a smooth, flat, and durable surface without the need for traditional cement backer boards.

By eliminating the need to cut, fit, glue, and mechanically fasten backer boards, Ardex V1000 significantly reduces installation time and labor. Ceramic tile, porcelain tile, marble tile, granite tile, mosaic tile, and natural stone flooring can be installed in as little as 6 hours, making it an ideal solution for time-sensitive residential and commercial projects.

Ardex V1000 is formulated to seek its own level, taper easily to meet existing elevations, and deliver a seamless finish suitable for large-format and super-format tile installations. It can be installed from a featheredge up to 1 1/4 inch thick and provides excellent coverage of approximately 25 square feet at 1/4 inch thickness. The underlayment is walkable in 4 to 5 hours, allowing work to continue efficiently without extended delays.

This self-leveling underlayment mixes with water only and requires no additives, simplifying the preparation process. It can be applied on, above, or below grade and is suitable for use over interior concrete, cementitious terrazzo, and even concrete treated with certain curing compounds. Ardex V1000 can also be used as a fast prefill layer over uncoupling membranes to create an ideal tile-ready surface.

Installation

Mixing Ratio: 5 quarts (4.75 L) of water per 50 lb. (22.7 kg) bag
Coverage: 25 sq. ft. per bag at 1/4” (2.3 sq. m at 6 mm)
