ARDEX FL Rapid Set, Flexible, Sanded Grout is a high-performance, Portland cement-based, polymer-modified grout specially formulated for commercial and residential tile installations. Designed to deliver excellent color consistency, superior flexibility, high strength, and rapid-setting performance, this versatile tile grout is ideal for projects where installation speed, appearance, and long-term durability matter. ARDEX FL provides a smooth, dense finish for floor and wall tile joints and can be used with porcelain tile, ceramic tile, quarry tile, glass tile, mosaic tile, and most natural stone tiles. It is suitable for floors, walls, countertops, showers, kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools, fountains, patios, and other demanding interior or exterior tile applications.

This rapid-set sanded grout can be opened to foot traffic in just 90 minutes, helping professional tile installers, contractors, and DIY renovators complete fast-track projects with significantly less downtime. Its unique, easy-to-use consistency is simple to mix and apply by adding water, while the advanced polymer-modified formula creates much fuller and stronger grout joints. ARDEX FL offers excellent flexibility and resists cracking and shrinking, making it suitable for high-traffic areas, wet environments, exterior installations, and spaces exposed to temperature changes or freeze and thaw conditions. With an approximate 30-minute pot life and 30-minute working time, installers have sufficient application time while still benefiting from rapid curing.

ARDEX FL is stain resistant, water repellent, freeze and thaw resistant, and naturally resistant to mold and mildew formation. No additional grout sealer is required, helping simplify tile installation and ongoing maintenance while providing a durable, attractive finished surface. Its moisture-resistant properties make it an excellent grout for showers, bathroom tile, kitchen floors, backsplashes, steam rooms, pool surrounds, fountains, and other wet areas. It is also suitable for submerged applications after 72 hours when used in swimming pools and other installations containing properly maintained, pH-balanced water.

The wide grout joint range accommodates joints from 1/16 inch to 1/2 inch (1.5 mm to 12.7 mm), making ARDEX FL suitable for everything from narrow mosaic tile joints to wider and uneven grout lines around large-format floor tile, wall tile, quarry tile, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, glass tile, and natural stone. Its excellent color consistency helps create uniform grout lines throughout residential and commercial installations, while its high-strength formulation provides dependable long-term performance. Reported hardness develops from approximately 5,000 psi after one day to 8,700 psi after 28 days, creating strong grout joints capable of supporting demanding floor and wall applications.

For proper mixing, use approximately 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 quarts of clean water for each 25 lb. bag or 28 to 32 oz. of clean water for each 10 lb. box. For smaller batches, mix four parts powder with one part water by volume. ARDEX FL contains 0 VOC and meets or exceeds ANSI A118.7 requirements with an ISO classification of CG2 WA. It is available in 36 colors and in 25 lb. bags or 10 lb. boxes to accommodate projects of different sizes. Store unopened packaging in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight. The product has a shelf life of one year when unopened and is covered by the ARDEX L.P. Standard Limited Warranty.
