Introducing Schluter Systems QUADEC Tile Edge Protection Profile is the perfect solution for ensuring secure and professional-looking tile edges. This easy-to-install tile liner trim provides a decorative and protective finish to the edges of any ceramic, mosaic, or natural stone tile. Designed specifically for outside corners of tiled surfaces, QUADEC also helps protect exposed tile edges against damage caused by mechanical stresses. The profile can be incorporated as an accent within tile fields on floors and walls and is now available in 10' (3.05 m) lengths, giving installers added flexibility for larger wall tile and floor tile projects.

The tile trim edging is available in various colors and sizes to suit any interior design, including black tile edge, white tile edge trim, and aluminum tile edge. It features a trapezium-shaped perforated anchoring leg to be secured in the mortar bond coat (thinset mortar adhesive) beneath the tile. It's square reveal forms a square outer corner along the surface edge. The trim liner (QUADEC Schluter Trim) is manufactured from premium aluminum or stainless steel for maximum durability. This ensures that the tile border (edge protection) provides lasting protection for your tiles to prevent cracks. It may also be used as a stair nosing or transition profile and requires no special care.

The floor tile edge trim also features an integrated joint spacer, ensuring a consistent joint size and a neat finish (joint spacer applicable for aluminum models only). The corner trim is available in a range of styles, including white tile trim edging, black tile edger, and metal tile edging trim. It provides a neat and secure finish allowing you to create accents in decorative designs. QUADEC can also pair with QUADEC-FS and DESIGNLINE for added design options. Select profiles are offered in PVC, anodized, textured and color-coated aluminum, square check or leather textures, with 9/32" (7 mm) stainless steel and brushed stainless steel options.

For installation, select QUADEC according to tile thickness and format, apply thin-set mortar with a notched trowel, press and align the perforated anchoring leg, and cover it fully with additional mortar before embedding the tile. Keep the profile flush with the tiled surface or up to approximately 1/32" (1 mm) lower, then fill the joint completely with grout or setting material. Matching corners and connectors are available for coordinated installations. For care, use neutral cleaners and non-abrasive tools, remove setting materials promptly, and avoid strong acids, bleach, ammonia, chlorides, and other cleaners that may damage stainless steel or aluminum surfaces.
